LOGOS

LOGOS is the fun & faith-filled youth group at our church for youth in grades 3-12!

Most activities are divided up by age-level, but some of our time is always spent with everyone together!

Every Wednesday from September until May we meet from 4:00-7:00 p.m. to learn more about the Bible & our faith, have fun & play games, do service projects helping the church & people in the neighborhood, and share an awesome meal each week! There's even homework help from 4-5 p.m. for those who might need it!

Weekly Format for LOGOS

4-5 p.m.           "Free time"...study/tutoring area; games area; just plain "hang out" area

5-5:45              Worship & Bible study ? singing songs; celebrating Holy Communion on some days; a Bible story (same one that will be used in Sunday worship) that is then reinforced through creative stations: painting; drama; story/poetry writing; clay; writing a song; etc. ALSO...recognizing that worship doesn?t just take place in the sanctuary: once a month we?ll have an intergenerational event where youth will learn about something fun/faith building from groups of adults (quilting, ice fishing, beekeeping, etc.). AND, once a month we?ll participate in some sort of a service project (either at church or out in the community...our schedule may change a little bit on these service weeks in order to give more time for the project!)

5:45-6:30         Supper ? the youth themselves help in the food preparation and serving

6:30-7             A "Showcase" of our artistic creations from Bible study time; then free/game time until 7

6:45-7:30         7-9 GRADE CONFIRMATION CLASS
